Full Restore
The team are currently undertaking a full restore / rebuild of Frogger into an RX3 spec. Garry on the engine, Scott on the electrical and Barry on the panel & paint. Should be mega!
Race Prep
Garry is keeping 'Jaffa' and 'Creamy' prepped for racing. Under his watch both cars have been been almost faultless on track - requiring limited time on the jack stands.
In The Pipeline
We'll keep you updated with further builds being worked on by the Cosmo Motorsports crew. Look out for a racing RX8 in future, along with a street RX4.

About Us
We are a small motorsports team based in Waipukurau in the Hawkes Bay of New Zealand. We have been racing cars in the GTRNZ, Rotary Racing Enthusiasts (RRE) and Classic Trials series since 2014 - with one thing in common. Mazda rotaries. We are mad about them.
We also take on race and street build projects as part of Garry's Waipukarau Motors business. So if you are into rotaries and have a project you need some expert help on, then drop us a line.
Cars
Welcome to our stable of rotary racers. Our hero race car is our orange FD RX7 'Jaffa' which has been racing consistently since 2014. Along the way we have added a triple rotor turbo FD RX7 'Batman' and our RX2 Coupe 'Creamy' running an old-school Weber 48 IDA.
Although no longer racing, Kermit deserves a mention here, as she was the inspiration behind the formation of Cosmo Motorsports - with Garry racing her widely throughout NZ back in the day.
Our final two cars 'Frogger' and 'Lightning' are street builds - more at home at a hard park than on the race track. To learn more about each car, click on the related image.

Garry
Driver, Mechanic
Garry is the master pedaler of the team, having raced rotaries since the 80s. He also builds the engines and keeps the cars on the track.
Iain
Driver, Designer
Iain drives a little more sedately than Garry, learning the ropes in the Classic Trials series. He designs the livery and keeps the brand running.
Scott
Driver, Techie
The engine management whiz, Scott likes nothing more than fettling the performance maps and dialling up the power. Also a useful pedaler.
Kaye, Caro, Todd, Blair
Our loyal support crew
Always there to support us, whether to help us belt in, check fluids, change tyres or keep us fed. Couldn't do it without them.
